Having done alot of character models I thought it would be good to work on some of my modelling skills by doing up some 3D props such as weapons, items, etc. I started with a weapon that can be found in many first person shooters, the m249 Light Machine Gun. The basemesh was created in Autodesk Maya. Right now the model has just basic textures/materials and it is still a work in progress but I wanted to show some of the work I've done on it.
